1351–1334 B.C.

Nefertiti was a powerful and influential queen of ancient Egypt during the 18th Dynasty, around 1370 – 1330 BC. She was the wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten, and together they led one of the most remarkable cultural transformations in Egyptian history.

Around 1353 BC, Akhenaten became pharaoh, and Nefertiti ruled beside him not just as a queen, but as a true partner in power. She played a major role in the religious revolution that shifted Egypt from worshiping many gods to focusing on one deity, Aten, the sun disk. This period is known as the Amarna Period.

Nefertiti was admired for her beauty, intelligence, and leadership. She is most famously remembered through the iconic Nefertiti Bust, discovered in 1912 in Amarna, which shows her wearing her tall blue crown. That bust is now considered one of the most beautiful works of ancient art.

But Nefertiti’s importance was not just about beauty — she was shown in carvings and inscriptions performing royal and religious duties, something rare for women at the time. Some evidence even suggests that she ruled Egypt briefly as a pharaoh after Akhenaten’s death, under the name Neferneferuaten.

Nefertiti’s legacy continues to represent:

Elegance

Strength

Wisdom

Royal grace that never fades

This bag is inspired by her timeless presence — a tribute to a queen whose name still shines more than 3,300 years later.
